Richard L. Bernhard is a graduate of Houston Baptist University, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree with a major in Christianity and a minor in music. Richard has been a guest on many radio programs, and has frequently appeared as a guest soloist and speaker on various Christian Television programs in the Houston area such as Trinity Broadcasting Network’s "Praise the Lord", on Warner Cable, and on Channel 22’s “Day Star:. He has also appeared as soloist and speaker in other national and international television programs, including Germany, Costa Rica, Israel, etc. He sang at the Houston City Hall for the National Day of Prayer, and sang before 13,000 people at the Texas Republican Convention in 1992 and 2000. Richard has also ministered in song and testimony at "Promise Keepers" meetings, at many "Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowships", at meetings of "Women Aglow", "Concerned Women of America", as well as other men’s and women’s groups.
Mr. Bernhard was honored by the Texas Senate and by the Mayor and City Council of Houston where he resides for his life achievements, by having his birthday proclaimed as "Richard L. Bernhard Day." The Mayor of Houston, Senate of Texas and the Governor's office sent letters of congratulations for his work in CO-founding and directing a Christian Arts Seminar named ArtReach.
Richard is the Founder and Director of Just Jesus Ministries through which he ministers to the nations with his singing, preaching, and teaching of seminars in vocal development and technique to help other young Christian singers more effectively use their gifts to praise and witness for the Lord. Traveling to 34 different countries and over 35 U. S. states, he has shared the Good News of Jesus in mission organizations such as Youth With A Mission (in Tyler, Texas, Switzerland, Germany, Holland, Hungary, and Hawaii) and Creative Mission in Sweden. He has also been guest teacher at such universities as University of the Nations in Kona, Hawaii and Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. His ministry has never been limited to any one denomination. Richard loves to share the "Good News of Jesus" wherever he goes, and is always looking for more opportunities to do so.
